This is your time, your confidential and safe space to talk about all things YOU!
Welcome to Hudson Valley Counseling and Wellness! We are a mental health counseling group committed to helping teens and adults identify life stressors while creating realistic, positive and challenging goals that pave the way for healthy relationships both within yourself and the people that are most important in your life. We are so glad that you are here!
If the current state of life has taught us anything, it is that we cannot hide from ourselves forever. No matter how hard we try, and boy do we try! Our fears, insecurities, relationship strains, parenting issues and self-defeating behaviors emerge and then one day we decide, ENOUGH!
We know how hard it was to take this first step and inquire about therapy. We know that you have probably tried EVERYTHING before calling or seeking us out. We know you have great motivational podcasts on your Spotify account. We know that you most likely have an awesome self-help library but it was only able to get you so far.
So welcome, welcome to the start of gaining an increased sense of self, developing your personal voice, owning and overcoming challenges, finally accepting who “you be” and gaining healthy strategies to help you cope with life! Together we can explore the emotional and familial obstacles that have created stress, fatigue and unsatisfying relationships. Hudson Valley Counseling and Wellness provides quality mental health counseling from licensed professionals who know what is it like to sit on the other side of the couch. We’ve been someone’s client too!

Our Team

LEO
One-eyed Shih Tzu and office greeter
Leo is a 4 year old Shih Tzu who LOVES all of the clients. He is the first one at the office door greeting everyone as they come in for their session and quick to roll over for a belly rub! Leo was found wandering in Texas completely matted and with an eye injury so severe it had to be removed. He is a walking stuffed animal and full of love teaching us that no matter what we’ve been through we can heal!
MAMA MIA
Havanese pup and colleague of Leo
Mama Mia is a 6 year old Havanese girl that will sit with you in session if you’d like and similarly to Leo is a sucker for a belly rub. Mama Mia was rescued from a horrible breeding mill in Pennsylvania and has been a fabulous addition to the family! She reminds us that despite bad things that happen, we can always find love!

SAMANTHA TINTER
Owner and LCSW
I know that reaching out for help is hard but I also have seen firsthand the amazing results when people do! My own journey as a human being on this Earth has allowed me to experience being a daughter, sister, friend, wife and mother. I bring all of the compassion, empathy and honesty that I have accrued on my journey to each of my clients. I have been in practice since 2012 and am privileged to continue to do the work I love. In my free time I can be found in the garden with my dogs, spending time with my husband and being a taxi service for my children!
AMANDA MAGNOTTA
LMSW
I am a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) with a profound commitment to the well-being of others. Holding a Bachelor of Social Work from Dominican College and a Master of Social Work from New York University Silver School of Social Work, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my clients.
I have focused my professional efforts on supporting individuals through various life challenges. My areas of expertise include addressing anxiety, depression, substance misuse, and assisting individuals in managing their emotions effectively. Most of my professional experience is within the NYS public school system.
My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and evidence-based interventions. I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space for all of my clients, fostering trust and collaboration in their therapeutic process. My dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals is my number one priority and is seen in my commitment to my clients. In my spare time, I enjoy doing anything crafty and spending time with my pug, friends, and family.

JULIE CAMPANELLA
LMSW
I believe in a strength-based approach to therapy. I see all clients as having the inner resources to create the life that they want to live. I foster an environment where clients are seen, heard, validated and empowered to express their emotions. I have spent many years working with people who have suffered from trauma, addiction, attachment issues and loss. I work with individuals struggling to cope with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression and life transitions. I believe that seeking therapy is an act of great courage and vulnerability, and I aim to celebrate each person’s resilience and growth through our work together. I have a Masters in Social Work from New York University, Silver School of Social Work. I love the outdoors, enjoying all the seasons and being with family and friends; I also enjoy yoga and reading.

MARI FLAMM
LMSW
Both my personal life and professional practice are guided by the belief that every person on this earth has inherent value; my mission as a therapist is simply to help them see it. In my practice, I pull from CBT concepts and DBT skills as well as mindfulness-based practices. My primary focus, however, is my relationship with my client.
I know from experience that sometimes the road forward gets foggy, blocked with overwhelming emotions or fears, interpersonal struggles, or self-doubt. My therapeutic approach gently guides you down the road — you aren’t in it alone. Together, we’ll explore your strengths and unique qualities and find ways for you to utilize them to cope with the challenges you’re facing. In the end, this journey will lead you back to your authentic self.
I love my work, and on my off hours you might find me reading about relationships, coping skills or the effects of complex trauma. Otherwise, I’m visiting one of the many bookstores in the Hudson Valley and spending time outside with my partner and my pup!

Tyler Anderson
MHC
I am a newly graduated Mental Health Counselor practicing with my Limited Permit who is excited to build a meaningful therapeutic alliance with my clients. I work mainly with preteens, teenagers, and adults. I can help you cope with depression, anxiety, self esteem issues, and difficulty identifying/managing emotions. My goal is to help you identify your own unique strengths and how that can mitigate difficulties with maintaining your mental health. I teach mindfulness techniques that can help you be more in tune with your body, emotions, and senses to gain more control over your emotions. Starting your therapeutic journey can be a difficult first step, which is why it is important for me to create as much of a comfortable environment as possible for you to get used to this new era in your life. In addition to honing my therapeutic craft, I also enjoy creative writing/journaling, playing video games, working out, reading, and anime.

dorrie klein
LMSW
I work with adult men, women and couples who at this time of their life are facing life struggles that feel too overwhelming to face alone. I view my approach as person centered and strengths based. My focus is helping people find the tools that will work for them in order to develop coping skills and strategies to affect positive change. I will help process past traumas, current challenges and fear of what’s to come. Overall, my passion is to support people in finding their own path and journey to healing. Some of the therapeutic interventions that I use in my practice are, cognitive behavior therapy, psychodynamic counseling, psychoeducation, role play, solution focused brief therapy and strengths-based therapy. I believe strongly that exercise, yoga and meditation can have a huge positive influence in both physical and mental health. I enjoy reading, running and spending time with my dog, Cooper.
